Hotel Gioia - Florence

Good location in a peaceful area, short walk to Palazzo Vecchio, all the important landmarks, and the major attractions of Florence. Good-sized units with fluffy towels, a huge shower in the bathroom, for instance.

Very helpful and nice staff, refreshed room (carpets and walls), nice bathroom, very good location, parking option, price-quality ratio is very good!

The street the hotel is located at is noisy when windows are open, but when closed all is fine, for conditioning system works well.

Visited Florence landmarks.

This was a last minute booking and we needed 3 rooms. We were very happy with everything, particularly the location and you could walk to all of the major sights in Florence. It was also very quiet and in a very safe area. The front desk was particularly helpful and friendly.

Excellent location, very easy to find and quick access to train station. The city was extremely busy in September, but it was easy to reach less touristy areas of the city from Hotel Gioia as well as the main attractions E.G. 5 mins to Duomo and 10 mins walk to River Arno. It was very hot in Florence in mid-September (about 32 degrees c) but the air- conditioning worked very well and it was comfortable to sleep in the room. Room was also very quiet even though it was close to the reception area and also had an excellent, free Wi-Fi signal.

Choices at breakfast were limited.

The shower pressure is a joke, expect a mere trickle on the 3rd floor. Please, improve these details for a more comfortable stay!!!

The location of the hotel is great, the staff is really nice. The rooms are clean, even tough the hotel is a little bit old...

The breakfast didn't have many options, but it was nice.

we where in an excellant location a 10-15 minute walk from a distinguished monument. you could walk to a central market and shops.

Great spot with friendly vibes

Had a blast! The room was super spacious, loved the rain shower, and made good use of the streaming on the TV. Breakfast was solid too-egg, bacon, and really good coffee. Only thing was that some mosquitoes bothered us at night.

A very friendly and helpful staff who recommended excellent neighborhood restaurants for dinners. Also, a perfect location, five minutes from the Academy in one direction, the Uffizi in the other.

The staff were delightful and very helpful. The room was clean and quite spacious.

The room was noisy at night (traffic and people passing outside) even with the windows tightly closed. The breakfast was adequate.

The staff went out of their way to prepare sandwiches for us when we had to leave early, making our stay feel special. Comfortable room with a lovely view added to the experience.

The venue is placed in a very central position very close to the center. Plus, it's in Florence Historic Center district, not far from many wonderful bars and restaurants and the major sights and all the relevant landmarks of Florence in the nearby.

I loved Hotel Gioia and would definitely stay there again! The hotel staff was fabulous! They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and make our stay enjoyable. The location was perfect for visiting sites and shopping! Lastly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable.

I had a great stay here! The shower was amazing, with a luxurious waterfall shower head and an unmatched fragrance from their soap. Breakfast was perfect with a variety of options, especially the coffee! I would definitely choose this place again, though the shower was smaller than I expected from the photos.
